How is my roommate determined?

If a specific roommate is not requested, you will be assigned one of the same age.

What should Overnight Campers bring?

  • Five days of proper golf clothing
  • Golf Shoes, sneakers, and socks
  • Toiletries (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
  • Sheets, blankets, towels, and pillow
  • Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
  • Casual clothes for four nights
  • Alarm clock
  • Golf clubs, bag, balls, and glove

What Should Day Campers bring?

Where do we eat at camp?

All meals will take place at Observatory Hill Dining Hall beginning with dinner on the first day and ending with lunch on the final day of camp.

Where do I go for check-in and graduation?

Check-in will take place between 2:00-3:00pm on Sunday, June 17th at the designated dorm area on the Grounds of the University of Virginia.  

Graduation and the awards ceremony will take place at Birdwood Golf Course at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 21st.

How old must a camper be to attend?

Campers must be 10 before the start of camp to attend. Campers younger than 10 are allowed but must be able to show adequate golf skills and also must be approved by the camp prior to registration.

How much money should I bring?

Each camper should bring approximately $50 of spending money for movie, ice cream, and/or souvenirs.

How do I remember all of the instruction I received during the week?

Each camper will receive a packet of individualized notes, made by the councilors, at the completion of camp.
